PARTIKO LOTTERY EPISODE 10:- SPACE
Greetings to you all, and I welcome you all to my blog with the peace of God which I pray be unto you and your families....
Am happy to be participating in yet another partiko lottery put together by @moncia90 and the partiko team......
The theme of this lottery SPACE have got me reading all through the week and I must say I am happy at what I have learnt all along.
THE SPACE
Space is also known as outer space, it's the near-vacuum between celestial bodies. It is where everything like the planets, stars, galaxies and other objects are found.
- Space is the boundless three-dimensional extent in which objects and extents have relatives position and direction.
SPACE TRAVEL
The first effort made into space was made towards the ending of 1950s. It was the Russians who first launched an artificial satellite called Sputnik 1 which was launched on the 4th of October 1957, the Russians launched a dog called laika into space in a satellite. She was the first living creature in space.
In January 1959 the Russians again launched the first space probe, Luna 1. It flew within 5 thousand miles of the moon. Also in 1959 Luna 2 crashed into the moon. In October 1959 Luna 3 took the first photo if the dark side of the moon.
America's first artificial satellite was explorer 1 which was launched in January 1958.
Echo was the first communication satellite that was launched in 1960. The first man in space was a Russian by the name YURI GAGARIN, he was launched on April 1961. He made a single orbit of the earth and landed the same day. The first American in space is called ALAN SHEPHARD who was launched on 5th of may 1961 but he did not orbit the earth. The first American to orbit the earth was JOHN GLEN on the 20th of February 1962 in mercury 6.
The first woman in space was Valentina Tereshkova who orbited the earth 48 times between 16th and 19th June 1963.
On 18 March 1965 Aleksei Lenovo became the first person to walk in space. On 16th of March 1966 the first space docking took place. The US SPACECRAFT GEMINI 8 docked with an unmanned rocket.
The early scientists who studied about space have brought about massive development and evolution to the world. Like we have a satellite on space and now people travel for vacation to other planet.
