Excuses should be avoided at all cost. It can be quite justifying辩护 to "fall short" (fail to achieve the target) with a good reason but it's not good for progress. We need to get things done to succeed in life. No doubt things are not easy, but we can work with minimal excuses if we try and continue to make the much needed effort. We can experience more fulfilled lives as we complain less and make the best use of what we have.
