Gentle reminder to support #introduceyourself
I spent some time last night curating some of the new #introduceyourself posts.
It occurred to me that upvoting and encouraging new users is a really important act to solidify confidence and inspire continued use of the platform. I can imagine that posting from new users can easily dissipate if they don’t already know anyone to connect with or support their work.
Even though my SP vote worth is only 5cents, I like to think it’s a valued contribution to someone new.
The occasional well meaning and personalised comment I find goes a long way too.
There’s a lot to be said about retention.
Does anyone know what the STEEM activity retention rate is? How to find that out?
It’s great that the likes of @steem.ninja are successfully recruiting new users in a big way; we need to make sure we’re keeping these new users engaged.
Anyway, so this is just a gentle reminder that the #introduceyourself tag is a great place to support new users with an upvote and follow new exciting people.

Hi @ashtv you already interacted with @heyhaveyamet and My friend Ren , but you See in the comments on this blog that people dont read and are involved. I read your concern and warning that the New steemians are the future but mostly messages are put down just because off the tag.We love this division and think its coursgeous When you start here on the platform now. And are happy to welcome them into STEEMTERMINAL, and offer apps like Steemify and tell them about voting for your witnesses.
We keep an watchfull eye on the first blogs and welcome them with open arms ....

Thank you so much for reminding people to check out the introduceyourself posts. I think many people avoid the tag because there are many fake and mistagged posts in that group. We go through each introduces yourself and find the REAL ones and compile them into a post so others can find them easier.
We also have a discord channel, an information booth, to help new people with real-time answers to their questions. We also assist them in finding a place where they can get further help from a mentoring group. They are able to promote their posts there and learn how to actually use the discord space.
Unfortunately, there are only two of us and neither of us speaks Spanish so the posts that are not in English get missed.

Hi Britt and Ben, fantastic work you’re doing in collating the legit posts - and thanks for seeking/commenting on my post. Indeed it’s easy to forgot the tag, and for it to be misused.
