[ Task Request - Swapsteem ] - Make the chat Real- Time by implementing Websocket

SwapSteem is a peer to peer exchange for Steem blockchain based tokens including STEEM and SBD. This task is created for issue on our project board.

User Story : As a swapsteem user, I need the ability to communicate with the other party involved in the trade. The communication needs to be private, secure and real time.

Components

The Chat Component has already been created as shown in the screenshot below.

An Angular Service has also been created which uses the current RESTful API to store and retrieve data from database. However, this approach does not meet the requirement of real time chat ability.

To solve this task request, the contributor needs to create a connection to the Websocket API already provided on the API. The contributor may also need to make modifications to current API code as per the requirements, hence a solid understanding of Websocket protocol and it's JavaScript implementation is required.

The Tech stack used in the application is JavaScript based and uses following framework/libraries :

• Angular 6+
• Boostrap CSS
• Steemconnect
• REST API
• Websocket API

Deadline

This task needs to be completed before 30th November 2018.
