Candi Hindu ini terletak di Desa Canggu, Kediri. Diperkirakan dibangun di abad ke 14 untuk memuliakan seorang raja di kerajaan Wengker.
Konon katanya sekitar tahun 1361, raja Hayam Wuruk datang dan menginap di candi Surawana.
Sayangnya, keadaan candi saat ini sudah tidak utuh. Walau begitu, candi ini telah tertata rapi. Dikarenakan bentuknya yang sudah tidak utuh candi ini tampak seperti candi kecil, walau begitu banyak relief yang sangat cantik.
Menurut kitab Nagarakretagama, Candi Surawana ini adalah tempat pemujaan bagi Dewa Wisnu yang saat itu berada dibawah kekuasaan Majapahit.

Surawana Temple
This Hindu temple is located in the village of Canggu, Kediri. It is estimated that it was built in the 14th century to glorify a king in the kingdom of Wengker.
It is said that around 1361, king Hayam Wuruk came and stayed at Surawana temple.
Unfortunately, the current state of the temple is not complete. Even so, this temple has been neatly arranged. because the shape is not intact this temple looks like a small temple, even though there are so many beautiful reliefs.
According to the Nagarakretagama book, Surawana Temple is a place of worship for Lord Vishnu who was under the authority of Majapahit.
