I think it is inevitable. The moves are being made already. Countries around the world are doing just that with deadlines anywhere from 2025-2050.
With demand will cause a decrease in supply since, at some point, it is no longer profitable to operate in that arena.
Even the fossil fuel companies see it...they are starting to expand into the renewable energy fields.
