Parisian Gourmet - Day 9

Many times, even if you leave the "super-gourmet" domain, you can still find really delicious, nutritious, and beautiful dishes in Parisian restaurants. There are many places which still only serve the "traditional French dishes" (and some of them are not in high quality, too, depending on the area and the level of "touristiness"), but more and more places in Paris seem to branch into more innovative fields of gastronomy. When we came to live here, six years ago, the word "vegan" was completely out of the dictionary of 99% of the French restaurants, as well as "gluten free", and even vegetarians were always offered fish. However, now you can find whole foods, raw foods, gluten-free and vegetarian and vegan foods. I may have said it once of twice before, but it's still all very exciting to me (despite being an omnivore, I have many friends with ideological or health-related limitations when it comes to food).

This vegetarian dish (creamed red quinoa in a pumpkin) was served to me at Holybelly, a very nice and trendy place in the 10th Arrondissement of Paris, and a forming culinary establishment. The staff is nice, and service is good, and food is great, and the prices are very reasonable. They also serve non-vegetarian dishes, in case you were wondering. So, who's coming to visit me? :-)
