The most important part of a man’s life is becoming a father. It’s a thrilling, ecstatic yet a scary feeling for most people. Having fears of all kinds is very natural but instead of highlighting them, you should focus on the pros of becoming a father. Here are some fears and their solution points to help you combat qualms about fatherhood.

Afraid of Changes in Your Woman?

The most common fear faced by almost 90% of fathers-to-be is the fear of birth. It involves the changes that take place in the woman’s body before and after the process of birth.

The hormonal changes and the mood swings are very natural and nothing to be afraid of since the mother of your baby is going through a much bigger thing of her life. So think of that, comparatively, you will feel like a super hero accompanying her in bringing the best gift of your lives.

Financial Pressure?

Yes, by fear of money, we all know fathers feel pressurized and become squirmy upon arrival of the new baby in regards to money. All the expenses you had figured out after your marriage, become almost double as the little creature takes most of your time and space as well as money. But, this is just a fear. Because once you become personally attached to the baby, your fear of money vaporizes.

You put forth your baby’s needs and wants before yours no matter how expensive a stroller might be, you care about the comfort of your baby.
So once your baby’s born, and you feel a deeper connection and relation to the baby right when you hold it in your arms, your fear will dilute in the air.

Failure: A Stepping Stone to Success

This fear is another most common fears of becoming a dad. You fear if you will turn out to be the best father or not. This fear should easily be gone as you tend to spend time with your toddler and realize it’s not hard at all. It may require more effort than your lawn work but it definitely is worth it.

Although, every electronic device or any other device comes with a manual, this new little human being who will live at your house for as long as it wants, doesn’t come with instructions and a guidebook. But it’s an elation in its own. All it requires is attention to all the little and big things as every day and every child is different and unique in their own.

So, keep your fears of becoming a failure aside and think about how every other father does it. You’ll see they all have their own ways and methods, you just keep getting better every day.

Fear of being inadequate and flawed

You must remember telling your parents at least once in your lifetime, directly or indirectly, how they aren’t making enough effort for you. Or how their abilities and attention isn’t sufficient. But you know it deep down your heart and you may have been expressing to them time and time again how great they are. Ask anyone in the world, they’ll confess their parents are the best.

It only divulges, as a member of a human race, we are all flawed yet perfect to our children. We are their heroes, even all we have ever done is caught a mouse in the house. Fathers are the examples even daughters follow.

So let go of the fear of being inadequate and flawed for your children. Mistakes are a part of everyone’s life. Each day brings a new opportunity to become better than yesterday.

Fear of not giving enough attention

This fear exists from before the day your baby is born to the day you die. You know the world better, your experience is more, and so your concern for the protection of your child is justified.

But before you jump to any conclusion, shall we remind you how it is very necessary for the kids to learn some things on their own. As you, your wife, your siblings, cousin, friends and everyone else around you that is human, has learned. This is what makes life interesting.

Fatherhood is actually fun. Don’t be afraid of it. You can’t be a real man if you are not a father. You won’t believe the miracles little monsters bring to your life.

i love my father

Fatherhood is nice, the highest pressure faced going into fatherhood is the transfer of legacy. A parent naturally feel the burden to do better, what was done for them to their offspring.

Generally being a leader is not an easy task. You shoulder the responsibility of directing, controlling, coordinating your followers. A father always have the fear of being successful leading his offspring.

I think this applies to mothers as well! I work full time...and, well I play mom and dad role at the moment so I can say I relate to a lot of this!
