Sometimes its hard but I agree kids are like teammates and honestly they want us as parents to succeed and be happy too. I always incorporate my kids into my life, my projects...sure they act up, get cranky or needy sometimes and it’s not always convenient, but I have had success just being cooperative with them... then again my family is a group of logic-based decision makers that are not overly ruled by emotion so that probably makes talking it out and cooperating easier.
