What is it About Kids and Placing their Tongues on Cold Surfaces?

This was something out of A Christmas Story. For whatever reason, my toddler was hell-bent on putting his tongue inside the freezer case in our kitchen.

Of course, my hubby let him do this! Didn't stop him so that he could get the pictures. Ugh. To his credit, my hubby did eventually stop our toddler. At this point, dad said, "That's enough fun for today!"
