Safe Parenting, Better Society
This has been a burden to me and I hope we do something urgently about it.
During puberty girls are taught how to behave, what to expect andenametiwritin all those things while the boys are left all alone. We assume they don't need talking to, advice or coaching as the girls, why? They are boys-future men. This is negligence and injustice in the part of the parent, teacher and guidance towards the boys. We should talk to our adolescent boys the same way we talk to the girls. The major reasons these boys grow up into men without being taught how to handle their emotions, affection and even the women in their life is negligence /assumption. We all assume they know it all. I wonder where they learn it from!
Permit me to suggest this, father, mother, teacher and guidance, the same way you talk to your girl child, please do the same to the boys. You can sit both of them down and discuss or you separate them from each other but please do not neglect them. They need those advice, sometimes even more than the girls
Assuming all the boys that rape girls, assault and abused them were taught from adolescent how to respect, value women, they would appreciate them and know the right way to treat a woman.
Assuming all these kidnappers, cultist and robbers were taught how to control their self and be contented with what they have while pursuing their dreams and passions. Just maybe Some of these cases might be reduced. Alot of these young people engaged in those activities out of ignorance and the way they were raised by their family.
All am saying is this; during puberty, alot of hormones is developed and secreted in the body of a teenage boys/girls. At this stage they need enough talking to in order to build and develop their self. Do not allow them to pass through this phase alone. Pray for them, educate them, preach to them and lead by example. Never forget they are learning from you. Your actions, character and words has a big effect on them. They are watching you like a movie and like a duplicating machine, they have a copy of it in their brain which will reflect sooner or later in their lifestyle.
Help your teenage boys/girls to learn self control and discipline from the grassroots and watch our society turn into a better serenity...*
