PH: Parenthood

Today, I will talk about being a parent in my own observations to my younger siblings who are parents by this time.
Meet my younger brother, Marlon!
He is a father of my youngest nephew named Zac Arkin at the age of 24. He is now 25 years old. As a father, in the morning he does the laundry, he prepares the food (he is a good cook btw) and other households. In the evening, he works as a call center agent. He also can manage going to the grocery store. More than that, he is so good at making his son and wife laugh because he got a good humor. He also quit smoking when Arkin was born.
Now meet my younger sister, Marissa.

Marissa is a single mother at the age of 22. She is now 26. She is now working on a foreign country in Taiwan as a production worker. It was a very tough decision to leave her 2-year-old-son that time under the care of our mother, because her son will grow up without his biological parents. So, to make-up on her absences as a parent, she calls almost everyday. Her son will have to wait up to 2 years more until her work contract is due.
Parenthood is about absolute love. A parent has to attend exhaustedly to the needs of the children in the best efforts. Even if it would mean, spending less for oneself and more for the children.
Parenthood is about sacrifice. A parent has to face the pain and hurt in exchange to the comfort of the children. Moreover, this job has no expiration date.
I am just so happy and proud that my younger siblings have learnt a good deal from our parents. Not to mention the awesomeness they shared when they brought new members in the family!
