My favorite thing about being a parent..
I came across a "challenge" @steemparents posted and I thought it was a good topic that I could easily submerge myself in.
So, here it goes..
There are a million things I absolutely LOVE about being a Mom. Its truly difficult to pin point ONE thing but.. if I must...
SHE is what I love most about being a parent. (that was easy!)
Every snuggle, every kiss, every hug, every "I love you", every giggle, every smile, even the tears. She is my favorite thing about being a Mom.
She makes being her Mom so easy and it is my greatest gift in life.
No matter how dark my day may have been, she brightens it in one swift and effortless movement. I love how crazy and silly she is. She is a nerd and she owns it and that (I tell her daily) is what I love most about her. She is unapologetically her and I get to say that I played a part in that. She is so full of love! Such a kind and gentle nature but I love that she is also finding her voice and standing up for herself.
She is still a very snuggly kid and let me tell you, I am soaking it in! I will drop whatever it is I am doing if she asks me to snuggle because one day, she wont want to snuggle (#uglycry) and I will take the snuggles while I can!
Every new thing she learns, Im all "thats my baby!" and I get emotional.
Can I say my LEAST favorite thing about being a parent.. while Im on this topic... I am SUCH A CRYBABY now!!!! WTF motherhood!
Mini recently had her kindergarten graduation and let me tell you... full on water works. I was a mess. I was THAT mom. Ugh.. BUT that being said... I have come to accept that I AM "that" mom.
She makes friends effortlessly and I hope and pray that her kind heart doesnt result in her being a follower to please people. We try to instill leadership in her while keeping her big heart. Being a leader and standing for something is far more important than people pleasing and having tons of "friends" but... I have a while before I have to worry about it getting her into trouble. I have faith that she will be a strong woman!
At the end of each and everyday, even the days she makes me want to pull my hair out, I thank the powers that be for letting me be HER mom.
She is my heart and my soul.
I may or may not have veered a little off topic but I could talk about her for days!
These pictures are roughly 5 years old (I have not yet decided if I will be putting current pics of her on here yet)
I hope you enjoyed my post! Thanks for stopping by and reading!
Sounds like you are a wonderful mother and have a precious girl! Thank you for sharing!
I completely agree with you - the best part of being a mom is my daughter and my other on the way. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings.
Fantastic! Exactly what we were looking for with this challenge!
Btw, add some more tags to this post so it can spread, and you'll earn more on it. 😉
Thanks! I definitely will! Im still super new to all this hahhaha
You can have up to 5 tags on each post. You want to make sure the tags you use are relevant to your content, but it's always best to use the 5 most fitting tags
Ooooooooooo
