This was an amazing day for sure, for a few reasons. One of those reasons is because of how long you could stay in the air.

New personal best. I launched from the bail out. (Not recommended)

Wind report was telling us it was going to be about 10-15mph at the launch on top.

Phil set up and launched. He asked me if I had ever launched from the bail out landing. I said not yet. Today would be the day.

Chris from MaxPara on youtube had some great flights as well as @paleotreats.

The puffy clouds mark the areas of lift.

The lift was perfect. Not too strong.

I hooked the first bit of lift I could find and went to about 2500 ft AMSL.

Phil was flying around at about that altitude when he said:

if you want to go to El Cap you can @captianobviou3

I thought about it for a few minutes, and said "Sounds good to me."

I thought the Go Pro was off and I was turning it on for the adventure... Fact is it was on, and I turned it off...

Rookie mistake...

This day turned out to be my most amazing flying yet.

The first hour was flying across the valley.

Today the air was magic. Everywhere you went there was some good lift.

The guys were taking pictures of each other flying into the sunset.

At one point I could hear Phil yelling at me to turn right. He was taking my picture with his phone. LOL

I got a short video of the guys launching into the sunset.
