EAGLE WITH PREY
We came across an Eagle in a field on a trip a few years back. He wasn't far from the road, which is really uncommon. So I stopped the car to watch this majestic creature.
As we were watching, and I got out my camera, the Eagle was taking to the air with an animal in it's talon's. This animal was rather large and the Eagle was struggling to get airborne.
We watched as he worked his way across the field, he would not be denied his prey.
What kind of animal do you think it is that the Eagle has captured?

No one else has had content with actual close up photo's of an Eagle flying away with it's prey.
Very discouraging for me. :-(
Frankly, I hesitate to post good content anymore. I feel like I'm wasting it.
It's been happening a lot for past couple of days and it's disappointing honestly . I don't get what's going on
I agree, actually longer than that. But this eagle makes it obvious.

It looks like a little dog to me.
I seen an eagle on Youtube actually pick up a small child that was sitting on the ground and lift it in the air for a bit. Lucky the eagle dropped the child as maybe it was too heavy for it. The video is called, Golden Eagle Snatches Kid.

I still ask the question as you did to be able to take such an incredible photo and that the animal did not flee?
I think the Eagle was very intent on it's dead prey and was watchful of me, but I was cautious and did not make quick movements. So it continued to give it's attention to carrying off the dead animal.

This is so cool! The only eagle I have seen has been at a museum! It looks like a large rat to me!

I kinda thought it looked like a small dog.
I certainly hope it wasn't a small dog, but it does look like it! I have a 3-4 pound dog at my house and the hawks eye the crap out of it! haha
