Is the Sky Really Blue

Is the sky really blue?
A parable:
A certain man went for a walk. It was an absolutely gorgeous day. The sun was in its full glorious splendor. The flowers were blooming. Their fragrance filled the air with a light sweetness. The birds were singing the morning awake. Every part of nature was in perfect harmony. He looked up and marveled. The sky was a beautiful a azure blue. As he stood mesmerized, a passerby approached. He exclaimed, greetings my friend. Isn't it a great day? Have you ever seen a more beautiful blue sky?
The man said the sky isn't blue, it's gray. No it isn't, said the man. Look at it. Look up. It is blue. We aren't supposed to look at the sky. It is dangerous. We could die. Who told you that? I have been taught that by all my teachers and professors since I was a child. Where did you go to school? I was homeschooled. Oh! You're one of them.
Again, the man asked, why don't you just look at the sky? You will see that it's blue. At this point he began screaming and cursing. You hater! You want to kill people! You want everybody to die! The man shook his head and walked away hoping that one day the poor soul would awaken, look up and discover that the sky is really blue.
