Social consensus mechanisms: Proof-of-work (PoW), Monopoly-on-violence (MoV), Proof-of-stake (PoS), Proof-of-power (PoP)

State is an information structure. When statists like "libertarians" talk about the state, they are talking about states that use a monopoly-on-violence (MoV) as a social consensus mechanism. Ethereum for example uses proof-of-work (PoW).

Re: social consensus mechanisms, I am not a fan of a monopoly on violence (MoV) as it limits the utility of the human brain. Also, it's not very nice towards people overall. Proof-of-power is my favourite, also invented by myself.
