Here are maps of the percentage of adults that have ever experienced Long COVID and are currently experiencing Long COVID respectively according to the latest Household Pulse Survey results as of September 14th-September 26th.

About 14% of all US adults have reported ever having Long COVID. As high as 25% in West Virginia and as low as 8% in Vermont. Rates are similar across most age groups, but lower for elderly adults.

About 7% of adults currently have Long COVID. As high as 17% in West Virginia and as low as 5% in Vermont.

West Virginia, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Idaho, and Mississippi in order have the highest % of adults that have ever had Long COVID while West Virginia, Oklahoma, North Dakota, Wyoming, and Idaho in order have the highest % of adults currently with it.

People with Long COVID in some cases have had to work reduced hours or in some instances have been unable to work at all. Estimates of Long COVID data suggest ~2 million workers may be out of the workforce due to Long COVID. More still may be working reduced hours as a result of Long COVID. This may explain in part why employment is still below its pre-pandemic trend despite labor force participation recovering.
