ANXIETY

in #pandemic3 years ago (edited)

It is very common to see familiar people going through anxiety situations due to the pandemic, confinement and other factors that they are experiencing. For this I want to support you by leaving you a short list of activities and techniques that will help you reduce your anxiety levels.

The first thing you should know is that to achieve this you need perseverance, determination and a lot of patience.

  • Be grateful when you wake up and do a meditation (If you still do not know how to meditate you can follow a guided meditation) this will help you focus on the good and be more positive.

  • Make a schedule where you spend your entire day doing activities that keep you focused (includes leisure activities).

  • Surround yourself with positive people, those who make you laugh, optimistic people who always bet on the best.

  • Stay away from negative people, I am not telling you to do it at all, but while you go through the crisis take some distance, at this time you should not deal with problems and complaints from third parties because you will have an additional burden to yours.

  • Do any physical activity, the one of your preference. If possible do it in the morning.

  • Work daily for your dream, even if you take small steps. Spend some time doing an activity that helps you do it or think about possible ways you can do it. Focus on your goal!

  • Laughter is the best therapy, find that person, series, movie or podcast that makes you laugh too much.

  • Do breathing exercises three times a day, go to a quiet space, and take 10 deep breaths in and out.

  • Organize your spaces.

  • At the end of the day write down three things for which you are grateful.

  • Eat pineapple, banana, chocolate, and peanuts. These foods help increase serotonin levels in the body, I recommend you try each one and add to your daily diet the one that you feel is helping you improve your mood.

  • Before sleeping do the Jacobson's progressive relaxation.

Try to put this list into practice every day, if one day you get tired, do not leave it completely and go back to it the next day and even in the next few days. The point is to always bet on your improvement.
Don't demand more of yourself than you can, just do your best. Anxiety has its peaks, some days you will feel very good, others you will probably have relapses but you will always return to the point where you had already advanced. Just be patient and don't get ahead of yourself, trust that you will get out of this.

You are stronger than that!
