In the 20th century, within the religion of "statism", what is the equivalent to the Abrahamitic image of hell, that exploits similar "memetic pathways" to proliferate, i.e. threatening annihilation of genes, without its "hosts" being aware of it?

The atomic bomb as a meme, as in, a unit of cultural information, a concept, belief, or practice, that spreads from person to person in a way analogous to the transmission of genes, can be traced to 1913, and H.G Wells science fiction story The World Set Free,

"Never before in the history of warfare had there been a continuing explosive; indeed, up to the middle of the twentieth century the only explosives known were combustibles whose explosiveness was due entirely to their instantaneousness; and these atomic bombs which science burst upon the world that night were strange even to the men who used them. "

In March 1935 Herbert George Wells had lunch with US President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and 6 years later, president Roosevelt orders the nation to move forward with the top-secret Manhattan project. In 1942, the USA instituted a new form of intelligence agency, the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), a war-time agency that broke with the traditional notion of an intelligence agency as "military", broadened to include anything that constituted a strength or weakness in international affairs, including politics and science, and by 1947 it had evolved into the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) that remained in operation even after the war ended. Franklin Delano Roosevelt was assassinated using cyanide two years earlier, in 1945.

Imabari meant to be fire-bombed August 6th, had been bombed already twice, Hiroshima fire-bombed instead

Imabari, 50 km from Hiroshima, was firebombed 26th of April and the 8th of May, 1945, one of 69 Japanese cities that were bombed with napalm, comparable to how the United States of America firebombed North Korea in the Korea wars in the 50s.

To keep the fire-bombing of Hiroshima secret, as part of the psychological operations program of the atomic bomb, Imabari was scheduled to be firebombed on the 6th of August as well, and the flight squad were directed 50 kms from their target, and dropped their napalm over Hiroshima instead, an event that was not included in any military documentation, managed by the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), and that motivated the continued existence of the OSS under a new name, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

NASA, that brought the world The Dream of Apollo in collaboration with Stanley Kubrick and that has also done a bit of actual science, talks passionately about the "cheap" idea of "combatting" global warming by spraying aluminum and sulfur into the atmosphere, the biggest environmental destruction since DDT and Rachel Carson's Silent Spring, and, memetically, an actual weapon of mass destruction.

Statism, a psychiatric definition

Statists are people who hold memes in their brains that serve to uphold nation-states as a consensus structure, which since it uses a monopoly on violence to reach broad consensus, has many effects on cognition as well as biases, propagated as a "phobeplex" that reproduce via survival instincts, involving the brain stem.
