I have had this same concept for at least three to four years now. We vote and trust that our votes are cast correctly and for the right person but there is no way of verifying this. I was in the process of making a website that would have as its central function people coming to it after an election and voting as they did officially and see if there is consistency or a margin that is suspicious in its range. I thought how can I do this while still having the voters anonymity safe? So I postulated that if every voter instead of No ID and simply using a signature was put into a blockchain so as they are completely in control of the account which you would do via encryption key. So you vote then come home and log in and see what the results are and if they are different/same as online blockchain vote tallies. It also would allow the voter to make sure his/her vote was counted by seeing their unique but completely private encrypted account and how that account was voted with a straight numerological vote as in R=0, D=1, I=2, etc and the same with state and federal proposals. So yeah Inguess we all had this idea or at least a bunch of us so I absolutely think thisnisnthethis artificer only trivial and just see how it works. Then move on to larger social media and ask others to join in. Proof of Concept first and then proof of scalability which should not be a problem since the blockchain can handle large numbers and keys as well as separating each state, federal, local and town voting results into separate chains. So Inmean, yeah, let's get on this because great minds think alike and sheesh how can you have 2,000,000 more votes and lose? Not saying I am for either Presidential candidate (I'm a Berner).
