Pool and Carne Asada
I apologize to all of you who sit around anticipating my latest post. It's a little later tnoight because I got invited to go swimming in a friend's pool. Then they asked if I wanted to stay for some Carne Asada. I accepted. The funny thing was that I had just eaten tacos for dinner, but I'm not one to turn down free food.
There's nothing like floating around in a pool after a long. hot day. And there's nothing like steak after a swim. Ok, so I didn't actually swim laps or anything. It was more like bouncing around on a floaty, but it's still in the water and it's cooler than being outside so it's a win.
Now I'm off to get some ice cream.
If you had to pick one flavor of ice cream to eat for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Wow, that looks beautiful!! No need to apologise for a late post... doesn't look like a difficult choice to me😊 Throw in a lil' steak too? Sheesh! No brainer!
Yeah, so sadly that was a stock photo. I might have been able to take a picture like that of this pool, but I don't care about that stuff. I know some people really enjoy it, but I try to be more present/in the moment. I'll bet you still have some great views from your rooftop!
Yeah, I don't pass on steak very often. If I do, please check on me. Heh.
I'm with you; I'd rather enjoy the moment (and the steak), without a phone/camera attached to my face :)
It's strange for me to be around people who are focused on Instagram. You can tell that it shifts their attention to their phone, regardless of what's happening. Rather than enjoying being in nature or at a lake, they're thinking about what shot or what angle will get them the most likes. Blah.
Blah is right! I watched this comedian the other day talking about how our grandparent's photos were so significant (this is grandpa when he got back from WW2 etc) and when our kids are grandparents, they'll be showing kids photos like, here's what I had for breakfast, here's me smiling with pouty lips... :)
Just think about how amazing our lives would be right now if we had pictures of our grandparents doing duck lips and pictures of their breakfasts! We're investing in the awesomeness of future generations!
Hahaha You said it!!
