The Steem ecosystem is thriving with multiple new developments including virtual token coin miners for two very interesting coins PAL and SCT.

The PAL coin is produced by minnowsupport.
The SCT is another project group that has its community focused on this project.

I suggest you get some reading done on these coins and see if this opportunity looks right for you.
The coins and miners have appreciated, but the miners more so, with them selling at about 3 times their original price.
