D-Tube Wednesday: enjoying stunning views of Bogota from Monserrate Hill

Hi there my Steemian friends and followers!

Welcome to my D-Tube Wednesday series where I share my videos taken at interesting places that I have visited during my travels.

Today, I will take you to the capital city of Colombia, the bustling 8-million metropolis of Bogota.

Occupying a total area of almost 1,600 sq km (more than 600 sq mi), the city is really huge but there is one spot from where you can see most of it. The viewpoint can be found on the top of the Monserrate Hill, a majestic hill that rises to impressive 3,152 m (10,341 ft) above the sea level.

Monserrate is located right outside the city center and you can easily hike to the top of it from a subway station but for safety reasons, it is usually recommended taking a cable car. Once there, you can enjoy absolutely breathtaking views of the city that appears to be right below your feet. It definitely was one of the most amazing viewpoints I have ever been to and I will write some more posts about Monserrate for sure.
