Pokemon Go: Community Day Event Details
After cancelling the last Community Day, Niantic has announced the new date being this Saturday. Abra, which the Psychic Pokemon from Generation One and the Kanto Region will be the featured Pokémon and spawn more often during the event Saturday April 25th. Despite the continued restrictions around social distancing, Niantic has been updating the game enough to allow more flexible gameplay without having to get out into the wild!
This time, the community day event will last for six hours from 11am to 5pm local times. The reward during the event will be a 3x catch Stardust bonus. To help with with supplies, they are also allowing for Buddy Pokemon to retrieve Pokeballs for players as some will not be able to rely on PokeStops. This provides a way to get an original Generation favorite.
As usual, you will have a chance to encounter the shiny form of the Pokémon Abra in increased probabilities during the event. Also, the special exclusive move Counter will be gained from evolving Abra to Alakazam up to two hours after the event has been announced. It will be interesting to see how much interest this gets from the community this month. Good luck and catch ‘em all!
