CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WINNERS
The list of UEFA's player for the year award is not only for Cristiano Ronaldo of Juventus and Lionel Messi of Barcelona, another good player has joined them who is known as Virgil Van Dijk.
He also played a vital role in Liverpool successful European campaign because he played 12times en route to the lifting if the trophy.
Just as this Uefa recognition, Virgil Van Dijk is also expected to be a major player contending for the 2019 Ballon d’Or, as is Messi.
You know, while Messi managed to enjoy a fine Champions League campaign, Barcelona reached the semi-finals before being eliminated by our dear Liverpool.
This guy known as Argentina star, scored 12 goals which include 2 against the Reds from 10 matches. What suprise most is Ronaldo’s inclusion. Juventus were eliminated by Ajax in the quarter-finals.
The guy playing attack for Portugal scored a remarkable goals of 6 in 9 matches. It was unspectacular in the sense of comparing his 15goals in 12 outings in the season before.
So with this, one of them (the 3players) will be presented with the award on the 29th of August, during the Champions League group stage draw ceremony.
But also for the list of the Uefa Women’s Player of the Year award, there names are Lucy Bronze, Ada Hegerberg and Amandine Henry
