Dancers moving - Painful lesson in low light photography
Dancers moving - Painful lesson in low light photography
So a friend asked me to help out at an event. I said ok! I would come and take photos. Easy! Urgh.. but then the lights went low, I had no flash, and people were moving fast.
Options, increase the shutter time. to the 10th of a second. This makes the dancers more blurry. So up the ISO to like 10,000 AARGGGG to much noise... no win.
It was a battle of light vs time. Why can we have cameras that work great at low light with fast shutter speeds already? I mean, we do.. but they need to be affordable and in my hand.
So in post, reduce the noise and up the brightness.. and... cry. lol.
- Please don't judge the overall skill at shooting-based off these photos... I need to get a better lense for this type of shooting and perhaps a flash so I can capture at faster shutter speed. (* I am accepting donations if you wish to help a poor photographer).
Here are some of the shots.
- Powerfull shoulder here. I think this is the best shot for me. I know.. I am crazy.
- Mysterious - Nah, not really. She loved this crazy zebra printed jumpsuit... So Did I!
- The expression here makes me happy. :) Also, I like the overall action going on here.
- Negative space is all the rage this year.
- Lost in the moment.
- Grounding games of dance and play
- Had them all do this at the end so I could at least get one fun photo... HAHAha.. o.O Or, can I say a handy shot to have?
