Changes in SteemNova
Test implementation of PHP 7.4
For some time now we have been preparing to support PHP 7.4, the latest version of PHP. This version significantly speeds up the operation of SteemNova (especially the old battle engine), although it also spoils compatibility with the code. For a long time I've been working on making sure the code works correctly on this version of PHP.
Unfortunately, while the most obvious bugs were detected and fixed, I don't know if there were any "hidden" ones. On May 15, 2020, the PHP interpreter language will be initially changed to the new version in order to observe the phenomenon and eliminate any bugs that might have been.
If you have problems, you should report them to Discord.
Bitcoin instead Steem and Hive
Spending money in Steem and Hive is difficult. It's not directly about the level of complexity, but the fact that so many networks are operated makes SteemNova less profitable, because instead of working on players - they have to stand unused to be able to pay out players once every two weeks.
The second problem is the division of networks. Some players prefer Steem, others prefer Hive.
Simplifying everything to a single cryptocurrency will increase the overall earnings of the players and reduce some of the complications resulting from the blockchain code.
From June, funds will be paid out only in Bitcoin. To receive them, you must connect your account with the Durango platform (durango.intinte.org) and wait for payouts.
