Well the second round of the Jupiler Pro League already has been played!

After round 2, we still have 5 teams with the maximum of the points! And there are some surprises among these teams!

Club Brugge

Proudly on top of the league we do have Club Brugge with 9 goals scored and only 1 conceeded. It is no surprise that they still have the maximum of the points, but the quality of play is just great! Tomorrow they will face their first real test of the season with the Qualification for the Champions League! Probably already with Mignolet in the goal!

Standard and Antwerp

A good start for both teams! No surprise here! But Antwerp could loose the 3 points of last weekend due to an administration error!

The surprises

Both Oostende and KV Mechelen do also still have the maximum score. Kv Mechelen did beat Genk at home with a dry 3-1 and they deserved the victory. It is only 2 weeks ago that they lost the supercup away in Genk with 3 - 0. This shows what a home crowd can do! They really get the best out of KV Mechelen! They did play full of grinta and motivation! This is how games also can be won!

Oostende is the other surprise! Here the surprise was the win against Anderlecht last week and not so much the home win against Cercle!

Genk

Well Genk did got a wake up call! After the though home win last week against Kortrijk, they got defeated at KV Mechelen. But this is part of the progress! With such a young squad some games will be lost! Also some players still have a transfer in their head, costing them some concentration on the pitch! Take for instance Berge! He for sure has more than enough quality to play in the Belgian League, but this can only be if he leaves his transfer worries in the dressing room!

Anderlecht

Well they took they first point with a scoreless draw away at Mouscron! Defensive the team was much better than the first round, but they are really lacking a killer in the team! They will probably sign Leeds Topscorer Roofe! I do hope that he can fill in the gap! Also just like in Genk, they squad is pretty young and it looks like Kompany isn't building a team for this year but a team for 2 years from now!
Probably he will have the support from the board but time will tell how much credits he will get from the fans!

Pointless teams

Just like there are 5 teams with a maximum score, there are 5 teams with 0 points!
These are Cecle Brugge (no surprise), Waasland-Beveren (no surprise either), Zulte Waregem (a surprise because I did think that they would be the relevation of this season), STVV (no surprise and with quality injection they will face a though season) and last but not least Eupen!

Eupen and Waasland-Beveren will face each other next week, so one of both teams or maybe both wont see the 0 points anymore after next weekend. The loser of this game will get into a downward spiral!
Zulte Waregem has the difficult taks to score some points away at Genk! Genk still isn't top but the team will get better week by week, so I do think/hope they Zulte still will have 0 points after next weekend!
STVV has the home game against Standard, this is more or less a derby! So anything can happen but I don't see them taking any points!
Cercle Brugge has a change to score some points against KV Kortrijk at home! This will be an excellent chance for them to get away from the bottom of the league!

Betting

Betting wise it was a great weekend!
With 4 bets played and 2 won!

Only the draw of Anderlecht did mess up the Trifold 1X2 bet! Also glad that I did use the accumulator on the BTTS, which did net me an extra 0.34 EURO. This means that the Correct Score double bet will be for free next round :)
I am already assured that my betting plan will last 3 more rounds without having the powerup the bookie account!
But it is still to early to make any conclusions! But at the moment I am the green (ROI of 35%).
