I'm aware of oligarchs, yet the oligarchs today are primarily here because of government manipulation of the economy, and their flirtation or outright support for authoritarian regimes (take Tencent and Huawei for example). Most made their fortune and used government industry regulators to either kill alternatives or make breaking into particular industries a larger uphill battle.
With that being said, there are many billionaires in the world.
The State is a manifestation of capital in order to create a society in which they flourish and brainwash people (like you) into accepting their rule.
The state is a manifestation of a collective who uses capital to fund their projects from wealth redistribution to all-out war. Your love for the collective is the very reason why we have governments in the first place.
What on planet earth does that mean? Why would any american want to go to war with people in the middle east? Right, they don't. Thats why the wars are so unpopular. It's the oil execs that do.

There are different motives for different people from religious extremism to financial benefits. Also, some Americans do support these conflicts in either a limited presence or air support, this also doesn't include your love for global democracy, what of the opinions of some of the locals who want US troops there because they are fighting against left-wing tyrants and religious extremists? etc. etc.
