Denmark is planting trees

Denmark is currently having a fund-raising on tv for planting trees to help the enviroment.
"Danmark planter træer" is it called which translates into Denmark is planting trees.

Skov er det mest effektive redskab, vi har i dag, til at suge CO2 ud af atmosfæren. Skov er populært sagt jordens lunger, og ifølge FN’s Klimapanel er mere skov et vigtigt bidrag til at bekæmpe vores CO2-aftryk.

Men mere skov er ikke bare godt for klimaet. Det giver samtidig renere drikkevand, flere levesteder til vores planter og dyreliv, nye områder til danskernes friluftsliv og klimavenlige træprodukter, som lagrer CO2 og erstatter klimatunge materialer som stål og beton i byggeriet.

Here is some info about the Denmark is planting trees campaign:

Every 20kr(2,96usd) donated equals one tree planted in new/upcoming danish folk forests which is done by The Growing Trees Network Foundation or partnered with.
Some procentage of the money will go to other charities such as The Danish Nature Fund(Den Danske Naturfund) and WWF Worlds nature fund(WWF Verdensnature fond).

The money is split between those 3 funds in this way.

Up to planting one million trees:

Growing Trees Networks Foundation 80%
Den Danske Naturfond 10%
WWF Verdensnaturfonden 10%

If we exceed the target, the funds are distributed as follows:

Growing Trees Networks Foundation 50%
Den Danske Naturfond 25%
WWF Verdensnaturfonden 25%

I personally donated 50 danish kroner which is 7,41 usd.
I took this picture 1 hour ago and it tells us that we can plant 613.458 trees currently and the show is not over yet - This is amazing :D

Last min update: We have got into money to plant 914.233 trees (y)

Remember when I said 20kr equals one tree? There is donated 12.629.160kr which is 1.872.954,94 usd :p
