Duulu game in Uganda.

Hello, Sport lovers.
I would like to introduce and other commonly played game in Uganda called Duulu.

This is one of my favorite childhood games. And is the only game that shows that you went through childhood because it is the favorite game for all young stars in Uganda.
You may be asking your self new that what is duulu.
To be honest with you I don't know what it is called in English because I have never seen it being played on Tv.
I think it doesn't have an English name probably because the game is mainly African.

That is the only reason maybe it is not intentionally known.

In case anyone knows its English name let me know too in a comment.

This is a game mostly played by Ugandan kids between the age of 4 to 14.

The way I used to play this game, if there was a world cup for it Uganda would wine trophy to trophy, I was a very good player.

Game Description;

The Duulu game set-up is very easy because it doesn't require a lot of requirements to setup.

You need only two or more players and the ground with a small hole.

All the players must have a duulu or marble.

Drawn Lines to show the boundaries of the ground'.
Each player should stand in the beginning like and making his or her first toss by slowing to marble into the hole in the ground.

If your duulu or marble is nearest to the hole you get to play first.

How to play duulu.

You vault the marble using one of your fingers aiming for the hole or another player's marble.
Accurate aim at other marbles and the hole scores you one point.

If you miss the other player will also be given a chance to play.

the winner is always the play to reach first on the number of points that you have set for the game usually 25 points.
