I find you annoying, entitled, and combative. I'll respond anyway, but with reservations that you'll figure out what I'm saying.
Steem isn't a place just where only posts are valued. Your contributions and value to the chain are valued. The post itself may not always be the value in and of itself. There are times when the post is reflective of value that's made outside of the actual posts. Most posts don't actually contribute value. It's the actions outside that do.
The post you're complaining about is one where a 2 hour radio broadcast is offered. I founded the radio station and have been running an interactive broadcast for two years and keeping people and a small community engaged that entire time. You're upset that the post that is relatively short and unnoteworthy is receiving votes. It's not receiving them because the post is amazing. It's receiving them because I've been here 3 years working my ass off trying to grow my chain and add value every day here. People recognize that and support my posts. Other people think it's overvalued and flag. I was posting at 5 cents a post and at $1000 a post. I'll keep posting what I'm doing. If you disagree feel free to flag. I'm not the retaliatory sort.
As for the Steem-Engine post you'll find that I've removed very little money over the course of the life of Steem-engine to benefit me personally. I charge for things. I give devs a lot of eng. I store the eng to keep adding value and services to the site. It's been painfully slow lately. I'm still working on fixing that, but I'm not extracting much wealth from the service project I'm attempting to grow.
What I've removed would constitute waaaaaaay less than minimum wage for the effort and time I've put in. I don't send out daily messages saying "steem-engine is up and running today please support me." I try not to ask for much while I'm here. I'm grateful that people choose to be here and try to encourage that as much as possible.
You may notice I've done like 10-20 self votes in the last year and a half or so. You'll notice I delegate out hundreds of thousands of steem. And the steem on steemmonsters we use to upvote players. Your characterization of me that seems to indicate I'm a greedy bitch is way more indicative of you than reflective of me. Judgement is like that.
So, yes, I didn't chose decline rewards on that post. That's because I was spending time for which I'm barely compensated to make sure that steem-engine is running for the benefit of everyone on this chain. Why do you feel entitled to my time? Why do you feel entitled to dictate my rewards outside of your own stake? How's that working out for you?
You sir have been here long enough to figure this shit out but some how failed to do so. You've been steeming incorrectly for a while. It's a shame. Hopefully this free lesson to you will be beneficial.
Go ahead and flag and flame. It's ok. I'm not sure it will help your reputation and earnings here. But maybe you'll feel better. I'm not really sure what the end game is. I'd encourage you to drop the entitlement and consider what actually provides value. This place could start making more sense.
Lastly, as the comments have noted "make a post" is a completely normal response to someone whining. If it gets press and eyeballs maybe you're onto something. Otherwise it's a big nothing burger. Steem on.
