Tacuarita Azul - Masked Gnatcatcher - Polioptila dumicola - I see soil in the forests near my city, Mar del Plata, Argentina. It is a small bird (11 cm), restless, inhabits woodlands and forests, it is seen jumping and flying from branch to branch of trees and bushes.
It presents sexual dimorphism, being the male something more bluish and with a mask between black and navy blue. It prefers the mounts of native vegetation or with a combination of exotic species.
- Tacuarita Azul - Masked Gnatcatcher - Polioptila dumicola - Las suelo ver en los bosques cercanos a mi ciudad, Mar del Plata, Argentina. Es una pequeña ave (11 cm), inquieta, habita arboledas montes y bosques, se la ve saltando y volando de rama en rama de árboles y arbustos.
Presenta dimorfismo sexual, siendo el macho algo más azulado y con un antifaz entre negro y azul marino. Prefiere los montes de vegetación nativa o con una combinación de especies exóticas.
