So, three days of study a new technique: my thoughts about stained-glass imitation and clues I learned:)

I must say again that I'm totally in love with this new (new for me) technique. It's an awesome art therapy: the colors are bright, and the process is really meditative. Too bad I'm not good in taking photos, so I can't show my artworks exactly as they are. For example in today stained-glass imitation everything that is blue at the photo are different colors in reality:

But I'm making this post to tell about some clues and tips I learned. And first of all - the features of using contours. Pay attention at one of the roofs, that one that is not straight at the buttom. It wasn't meant to be so, it's just I wasn't patient enough to wait till the contour is dry enough. It's instruction says that it must dry for at least 3 hours, I waited for only one. If you're as impatient as I am - use the hairdryer. Not very close to the glass, and for at least 10 minutes. Then let it get cold again.

Another clue can be seen here. Pay attention on the door. Yep, it's wet contour again. And also for this artwork I used opaque glass. Don't do that:) Use the regular one, it accepts paint better.

And the last one can be seen here. If you use transparent paint (as I do) - anyway buy not transparent white. It's hard to see here cause it has a white paper on back, but the paws of the cat look like just empty spots. Today I bought non-transparent white to fix it.

And the last thing I'd like to tell - find a perfectly even surface for work. Cause: 

-"Oh, gravity, you, heartless bitch!"

Your paint will be more saturated on one place and less in another if you don't.
