PAINFUL PLEASURE

EPISODE 1
It all began on a certain day, Linda had just departed from the library in the University of Uyo (UNIUYO) after reading for a very long time. She was extremely hungry so she headed for the nearest canteen to have her first meal of the day.

Everyday, every hour, every minute when the canteen is open, it is always filled with lots of people. Ranging from those who come to eat and those who just come to relax. Linda arrived the canteen and was lucky to find an empty table. She bought food and sat to eat all by herself. As she was eating, a stranger approached her table with his food in his hands. It didn't take long for Linda to notice his presence. Then she slowly carried up her face and gave him a curious stare even though he was well known in the University premises

Can I sit here? He asked politely

Clearly you can't! I mean, is this how you go around always looking for a girl to sit with in the canteen? Only if she had said that..... You may sit she replied in a low tone. Then they both sat silently for sometime. 

After they sat for about 5 minutes, he finally broke the silence. He said "my least wish is to disturb you but why would a girl as beautiful as you choose to sit alone and eat in the canteen. Don't you have any female friend?" he asked clearly but ironically as concerning the female friend part. 

she replied saying "I prefer eating alone most times and last I checked, It wasn't a crime or is it?" she asked rhetorically with a facial expression to suit the question. 

I'm only concerned and you don't need to sound rude he said. I just thought u would be needing a bit of company and my instinct brought me to you. I apologize if you are offended in anyway. 

No! I'm not offended she exclaimed as she put a cute smile on her face.

He was happy and smiled back.

At this time, Linda started imagining alot ranging from his cute white eyes, his dimples, his pink lips, his nice hair cut.  she was astonished at the fact that he wasn't just handsome but was a sweet gentleman too. His attitude changed her perception about him. He was the only son of a rich man who drives his father car to school and lives in a well furnished house outside school and had every girl in school wishing he was theirs. 

Linda was extremely happy to be conversing with one of the schools most talked-about student. She already wished he would ask her out right away as she enjoyed every moment they were spending together. But she did her best not to let it show.
