Despite the up hill climb, don't stop!

Some part of me knows only too well, that no matter how much we might try and liberate ourselves from the confines of the material world … and from the consensus mind that creates a reality which is so much less than loving and generous — a reality which is not nearly as brilliant as we might imagine it to be.

So it is, that even in my most upbeat moments, I still find that the angle of my ascent will only grow steeper as I advance, given the various considerations and compromises that follow from the formation of this reality that we all inhabit in this single moment

It’s a weird thing, but being alive in this time and in this bagatelle is a collaboration of many musical-like forces, some of which are working in our favor and others of which are not.

I guess some would call our brief interval here, the “Great Compromise” because no matter how high our spirits might fly, we are ultimately brought low by our bodies, by gravity, by pain and suffering, and by the need to care and tend to others.

We are free in our conception. We are free in our sovereignty. We are free in our ability to cross time and space, but we are trapped by the demands of the natural world, which “plants” us in the matrix of matter and energy, which then impose limits on how far we can go, how high we can imagine, and on how fantastical our best moments can be.

So, what is the best response to such a dilemma? Well, I think it’s simply to do our best, to keep on swinging, to keep on trying to reach a little higher. To keep on loving a little harder, thinking a little better, feeling a little more and not stopping or giving up … because you can see now how things work and how there’s plenty of room for heartier laughter … so go ahead and do that … as that will always feel good.

In the meantime, carry-on! Those who would get you, will, and those who don’t, won’t.
