Prayer for Ukraine

O goddess

O mighty Athena of the steely eyes

Whose sword is strong and see all

And whose shield is always ready to guard the innocent

I pray to you on this day and seek your aid

Not for me, but for those who are today fighting for their lives, freedom, and sovereignty

O god

O savage Ares of the blood-soaked cloak

Whose battle cry puts fear in the heart of warriors

And whose heart is filled with a lust for battle

I pray to you on this day and seek your aid

Not for me, but for those who battle and shed their blood for their lands, their homes, and their families

O Athena

O Ares

Grant them strength

Grant them courage

Grant them the will and power to defeat their enemy

So that they may live free from the yoke of tyranny

O Zeus

King of Olympus

Father of Gods and Men

I call upon you to punish them who do evil

And upon the leaders of nations whose egos are larger than their power

For you are eternal and divine and never can they stand against your power
