O Goddess of the Crossroads
You, goddess of the crossroads
Wise lady and guide
Who can open doors as well as close them
Show the way or hide it
With lit torches in hand
You cast your light upon the road
Though it is up to me to see
And in that light my decisions are made
Your jingling keys
They call to me
For they speak of doors yet to be opened
And of paths not yet taken
And of a future uncertain yet true
You, goddess of Earth, of Air, of the Sea
Powerful force of nature
Who travels the dark paths to bring them light
And walk the unseen realms
With a retinue of dogs to announce you
And the spirits of the dead as your companions
I seek your strength in all things
That I may be courageous as I too walk the ways
The boundaries of the cosmos
They are your haunts
Where transitions are made
And change comes as it always must
By your power and grace may it be good
You, goddess of the dark moon
In whose dark days we serve your meal
And offer unto the dead their due
To be honored and remembered
As you are honored and remembered
So it is we seek you, O Hekate
Virgin Goddess with yew in your hair
To shed your light upon us even in the darkest times
