PADDLE AROUND THE PIER BRIGHTON 2017
So recently I took part in the amazing and popular surf event, Paddle around the Pier. Now if you don't know what Paddle is, it is a event which is based in Brighton where people may come down to Brightons west pier and paddle around it.
I was lucky to help as a lifeguard doing safety cover and helping anyone who couldn't complete the course.
Me and my mates paddled out around the course waiting for the beggining whistle to sound.
Boards and weird looking rafts raced across the sea towards the pier. It was pretty cool to see all these people raceing on homemade rafts or boards.
Luckily there were no injuries but there was one man who was through to have drowned. Luckily he was all ok and just messing around.
If you have a chance to come and visit paddle around the pier next year I suggest you do as it is an amazing and pretty fun event. 👍🏽🌊😄
