Payson Canyon Kiwanis Park
Payson Canyon Kiwanis Park
3 miles up Payson Canyon is the Kiwanis Park (formerly known as beer can flats). It is FREE and a quick getaway that is popular in the summer evenings for an outdoor retreat. There is close Parking, Picnic benches, fire pits, and BBQ grills, and a Disk Golf and drinking water and a no-flush bathroom. This site is scenic and convenient and is so good looking that it is a fantastic backdrop for a photo shoot.
During the heat of the summer, it is a nice retreat because it is probably 10 to 15 degrees cooler and it is wooded well enough to have shade. This location is available all year long. above and beyond the picnic facilities there is a Disk Golf course here. it is a permanent type that was established in 2012 and there are 18 baskets. The hole type is mixed, and as far as difficulty there are trees and a creek running through the course most holes measure 100 to 300 feet but there are two that measure over 300 feet the whole course is about 4000 feet This is a great activity.
Very nice place for adventure
