Outfit Under $10?!

Hello everyone! This week I am excited to share with you all an outfit that is not only simple to put together and stylish, but also won't break your bank. The best of both worlds in my book. The items that I will be talking about today should be pieces that can easily be found within your own closet; just paired differently than how you would expect. This week I am challenging you all to create a look from all of your basic pieces.

The Basic Tee

A plain white t-shirt. Yep! Something as simple as a plain white t-shirt can take you really far in any look. This is because of its versatility. You can turn it into a crop top by tying it up into a cute little crop top, or dress it down with a pair of leggings and jeans. This week I decided to play things a little differently. With the right accessories you can really elevate this top into anything but basic.

Little Black Skirt

I decided to dress up the top by pairing it with a cute black skirt. I found this one at my local thrift store for 99 cents. What a steal! I chose this particular piece because of floral detailing and pattern (I thought it added a little extra something to the look compared to a plain black one.) I also liked its longer length and thought it was very unique compared to the other pieces that I currently have in my closet. This was just what I decided to pair up today, but you can really choose any black skirt you have in your closet.

Lets pair it up!

Lets be strategic about how we pair up these two items. I decided to tuck in the white t-shirt into my skirt and belted it at the waist. This will further define my waistline, and make this fit look more put together.

Next I decided to accessorize the top by adding a statement necklace. It could be anything, but for me I paired it with this silver chain piece I found at Forever21.

Throw on a pair of boots. I don't know if you haven't notice the trend, but I am currently in love with booties. If you don't have a pair, that's okay! Throw on a pair of black shoes, and slip on some black ankle socks, a little higher than usual would be best. The socks will give the illusion of a higher shoe line. Trust me it works.
