Super Saturday with Bob & May
I have known Bob since I was 9. We have had many adventures over the years playing in bands, hiking, camping and all that good stuff! A week ago, he told me about this hike they did up to Twin Lakes. They brought their fishing poles and I couldnt believe the fish they caught! We made plans to go back the following weekend
The trail starts at Silver Lake @ Solitude in Big Cottonwood Canyon. Its only 1 mile to the reservoir at over 700ft of elevation gain. The hike was moderate and not strenuous at all

I can't remember the last time I went fishing, let alone caught a fish. Today was my lucky day, I landed the first one!!
Lil Brookie
He was just barely hooked. So I let him go
I landed one more brook trout and decided to keep it. May caught 2 as well and let me keep them. I got enough for a fish dinner tonight!
Bob hauled the inflatable raft up the trail like the big studly man he is. We all took a turn out on the raft. It was very relaxing! I heard Bob and May talking about Roger, and I wasn't sure what they meant. Then Roger showed up
He came up and ate some sunflower seeds right out of May's hand!! We saw a few other critters like a Pika which is in the rabbit family. Also saw some Pine Martins which are in the weasel family. The critters all got names which made it fun.

I have a rule about keeping fish: I only take home enough for a meal, and I cook them up the same day. What a great day with friends! All these years and I have not even begun to discover these wonderful mountains so close by
That's an awesome rule to have. I'm glad you caught enough for dinner too, how was it?
I can't believe I missed this post btw! I have catching up to do on your blog!
The fish was pretty good! Bout had a heart attack reeling them in I forgot what it was like.
Awesomeness... nice fish too
Ah, hiking and fishing with good friends... Sounds like my kind of trip! Beautiful photos of the beautiful scenery and good times with good people :)
Yeah I love nothing more than going somewhere that Ive never been. Best with good friends. Its part of what its all about, ya know?
Now I want to go fishing! Looks like a beautiful spot buddy!
