That Time I Almost Froze on the Appalachian Trail (hiking adventure)
It was cold. I left Papi in Franklin. He was much older than I was anyways. My shin splints had disappeared and I was wearing a brand new pair of Merril shoes. It was the longest hike of the year so far, 11 miles, but I made some mistakes that almost cost me.
It dropped below freezing that night and the wind reached over 50 miles per hour. I have such slow phone service that my texts of regret left people confused about my well being. I should have taken more video but what I did capture definitely caught the fear in my voice.
