It's always good to lend a helping hand. Often we say "well the rescue boat is coming" or "someone else will come". We never know when someone is really in need.
We also make stick bread here in South Africa. Sounds like a fun weekend you had :)
In Norway quite many of the boaters pay for a "full membership" in the rescue organization. It's a democratic organization, so ordinary membership rights are included - but most of the boaters are in just because it's a pretty good insurance. Even such silliness as getting out of fuel or battery, and one can get free help (or course, they will prioritize real emergencies if needed). I'm quite clumsy, so I have utilized this offer quite many times myself. It's the last resort, I usually try managing without this service, I find it a bit embarrassing to be a regular client :-)
Hahaha :) a regular client to emergency services . At least your heart is good. Reminds me of my mom 😂 Sounds like a whole community vibe. I know a man who was born in Norway, lives in America now. He is literally one of the nicest prople I know.
