After a close three-way battle, "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once" co-star Jamie Lee Curtis won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress at the 95th Kerry Condon ("The Revenants of the Inisherin").

All three women traded hits throughout the season. Bassett initially seemed to be the favorite actor after his wins at the Golden Globes and the Critics Choice Awards, but Condon won the British Electoral Board's BAFTA and Curtis triumphed at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

In his acceptance speech on Sunday, he mentioned the many people who had helped his career and exclaimed, “We. To the right. He won. Some. oscars Together!”

Curtis started out in Hollywood as the scream queen on the Halloween series before moving on to explosive roles in Trading Places and True Lies. But he played well against guys in Everything Everywhere as a grumpy, whiny tax cop.

The 64-year-old is the daughter of actors Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis, who were nominated for an Oscar but never won one. "To be connected through the legacy of her work and mine," he told the Times last month, "is very powerful."

On Sunday, she asked a very enthusiastic audience to calm down so she could give a speech without to make fun of them. "To stop! She told the crowd, adding, referring to the academy's president, "I have 45 seconds and I promised Janet Yang I wouldn't do it right because I'm a good girl."
