Taking the gospel of steemit to orphanages
On Monday, 23rd of July 2018, myself and @chiama took the gospel of steemit to some orphanages.
Has you all know, I enjoy giving to charity. Helping the needy around has become an hobby for me. I've done so many charity work in which I've shown you all some of it.
There is also no doubt about it that majority of steemians and a lot of communities on steemit like @wafrica love giving to charity, so, we taught of it to bring orphanages to steemit platform as this will help steemians to contact them directly to render any form of help to them either by upvoting their post, resteeming their post, delegating Steem Power to them or even sending them liquid Steem.
On the part of the orphanages, opening an account on steemit will give them more visibility to more people around the world. Coming on steemit will also give the orphanages additional income as they are sure of earning something from their posts to support the donations they receive.
The orphanages will also have the opportunity to understand more what blockchain technology is and also look into investing in cryptocurrencies. Who knows, we might later have an SMT for them or we might even have an orphanage built on blockchain.
Bring these orphanages to steemit will also help to create awareness about steemit and Steem to the corporate organisations that support and partner with the orphanages.
On our first round of visit, we visited four orphanages and they are:

VICTORINE HOME FOR CHILDREN, GWARINPA
DIVINE WOUNDS OF JESUS CHRIST ORPHANAGE HOME, KUBWA
ARK OF REFUGE ORPHANAGE HOME, KUBWA

I think this is important work.
It should be possible to have a few model schools, and be able to demonstrate how things might work, enabling networking and direct contributions.
Also partnering with Fundition, each org can have it own relationship with the giving aspects of the Steem network.
@fatherfaith has a fire and a drive for this, I hope we can expand this to representatives in ever major city in Nigeria and then consider how this model works for the rest of the developing world.
