IONChain: a platform for the Internet of Things (Iot)

Before continuing with the description of the subject in question, I will begin by explaining a recurring category within it and it is related to the Internet of things. For those of us who have just entered the world of the block chain, we find certain categories that we do not know, but when they are investigated they begin to approach us. Such is the case, of the internet of things. This can be described as a network that establishes connections between different technological devices that make use of the Internet. This is based on specialized programs that allow you not only to be connected, but also to respond to previously established command commands remotely.

In other words, the internet of things refers to everyday things that can be interconnected through the Internet to improve our quality of life. This idea, although not so recent, seeks to make everyday objects more interactive devices.

Every day there are more spaces that integrate this type of technology, such as the industry dedicated to mass production, the monitoring and control of urban spaces (traffic lights, camera systems, routes ...), environmental control, which means a breakthrough that allows us to keep abreast of atmospheric, meteorological and seismic variations from anywhere in the world and in the health sector, you can already see networks that make it easier for health personnel (doctors and nurses) to follow up efficient to the patient.

However, despite the fact that there are more and more devices associated with the internet of things and that this becomes a reality, there is an important aspect to consider and that is the security of our movements and the protection of the devices, because being immersed in a network that interconnects them, one might ask the following question: are we safe within this technology? Some experts say that the interaction within the framework of the Internet of things exposes our routine, uses, users and this makes us vulnerable to attempts of fraud or information hacking that evidently put our privacy at risk.

Precisely, facing this reality is born a platform that seeks to solve this situation and is called IONChain, then I present the most outstanding aspects of this platform.

IONChain:

It is a platform that seeks to connect different technological devices of the Internet of Things (IoT) based on a decentralized platform that facilitates the interaction between them. This idea was created in 2018 and is originally from Singapore and Shanghai.

This application favors the creation of applications, smart contracts and data transfer providing a decentralized ecosystem that will allow the user to maintain control of their devices and not depend on any external entity.

This platform like others has its own currency called IONC that will allow exchange and movement within it.

IONchain ecosystem:

This platform considers two ways to determine the contribution of a device. These are the Consensus of the Data Quality Test and the Consensus of the Time Lapse Test. The objective of these two protocols is to verify the operation of the devices, the data and the calculation for the generation of coins. The payment to the user will depend on this. According to this perspective, we are faced with the possibility of making our devices capable of mining.

Objectives of IONChain:

This is a platform that has the following objectives:
Provide security to the data.
Generate data circulation
Encourage data sharing
Facilitate data transactions
Aspects that still mean a challenge in the framework of the internet of things.

Generation of value within the IONChain ecosystem:

The generation of value within this platform is generated from four categories: value generation, value verification, value evaluation and value confirmation. In the generation of value, the data of each device is identified and stored and then passed to verification. In value verification, the data is processed and passed to the value evaluation. In the evaluation of value, the data are authorized and protected from any attack and, finally, they pass to the confirmation of value that at the end is where the allocation of the contribution of coins is decided.

IONChain and EdgeComputing technology:

The use of edgecomputing technology comes to solve the problems of connection, operability, protection and data security within the blockchain. This becomes a way to optimize all the movement within the platform improving the user experience within this ecosystem. It might be asked in what way is the operation of this platform improved with EdgeComputing? Well as follows: with this technology you can create a user who owns your data and with the possibility of choosing who can access them.

Conclusion

The internet of things is a reality that will bring great benefits, but also have challenges to face, for this reason joining this experience radically changes the way in which the user moves daily. However, platforms like IONchain come to improve the experience of using interconnected technological devices.
