Original Music - You're The One I Wanna Do - I Wrote Recorded And Sang This Song With My Full Band

👿 This song was recorded at Record Two with my full band. I wrote it and sang it, but didn't produce it.

The day they were mixing it. I got to meet the band Sublime who were recording in the next studio over from ours. Bradley Nowell, the lead singer from that band looked completely strung out when I saw him and I was amazed he could even stand up let alone sing that day. Unfortunately, he died two weeks after I met him from a drug overdose.

This guy named Paul (I can't remember his last name) came into the studio to mix this track. He had just finished mixing "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana. He walks in with what looked like Darth Vader's luggage and transferred all the tracks we did on a 16-track to his digital recorder and we let him do whatever he wanted with the track.

This recording sounds a bit different than the live version we played, but it definitely got the crowd going whenever we played it.

It was one of the songs we played at the regional convention for NACA that got us our first tour.
