Portrait (still a WORK IN PROGRESS)
Often times, I only make just a post to show the progress of my works but just recently, I have observed to see that am not being able to talk about certain areas even though I try so hard explaining the step by step of my artworks.
This very artwork is still a work in progress and in this, I want to pinpoint some basic things which are required and essential to know in representing images on paper or any surface.
It is always good to make a better study on every reference picture before the work is started. Creating artworks, it is always good to create special sequences which will make a difference in what you are creating. It is always not possible to have the same strokes on your drawing as you have on your drawing but you can do better to atleast be close to it.
Reason why I don't use eraser when I draw is because every mistake in art is a design regarding that there is sense in every outline you try to make.... No perfection anywhere but the thing is, you can try getting close to perfection but the rule in getting close to perfection isn't by copying completely what you see but by creating your own sequences and developing a unique style and pattern in achieving a better design.
Often times, my clients will always say the portrait I produce comes better than the pictures they give to me. This is possible because I think outside the box that is, outside the picture that is been given to me..... I don't photoshop pictures and I don't edit.... I create realism even though am not perfect in my ways, I still do more to make sure I produce the best.
Just as one of my mentors here on steam blockchain here @wesphilbin will say, just keep trying and definitely you will get there.... He has a way of saying it when he educated me but that is the best way I can deliver his words.....

There is indeed a beauty, in imperfection my friend. Why would we want to "do" or "be" just like everyone else? Mentor, you say? Well... I am indeed flattered! I will just say it outright...
The main problem that I have seen with artists on Steemit, let alone any social media platform, is "authenticity"... proving that YOU are actually the one creating the art. Understand that this isn't me pointing fingers at "anyone", I am just trying to help everyone that wants to share their relative art platform, to be the best they can be. Like I tell you... keep going... keep going. You have indeed come such a long way, since the first time we interacted in the @steemterminal...
You provide the materials you have used, photos, now video; there should be no doubt that you are creating this art. Thank you for your continued positive energy... we just never know what you are going to do next!!

In your last sentence, you really got me in this... Well let me give a clue on the kind of video I will be making. I will be showing the process of making a graphite powder.

Interesting to see how you draw.
So far Ithink the photo is better. On the photo the accent is on the happy eyes which makes her shining.. On the drawing the accent is more on her mouth and her face looks as if she is in a cramp.
